Here's exactly what we collect, why we have it, and how to make us delete it.

The short version

We collect what we need to ship your order and, if you opt in, to email you. We have never sold a customer list and we're not going to. Want your data gone? Email us and it's gone.

01 / Who We Are

The basics.

This site is operated by HS Containers LLC, trading as HerbSaver, 1600 N Milwaukee Ave, Suite 705, Lake Villa, IL 60046, United States. We're the data controller for information collected through herbsaverusa.com.

02 / What We Collect

The information.

When you order: name, email, phone, shipping and billing address, and what you bought.

When you sign up for email: your email address, and your name if you give it.

When you contact us: whatever you write to us, and your email or phone so we can reply.

When you open a wholesale account: business name, resale certificate or tax ID, and contact details.

Automatically: IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, and how you got here.

Never: full payment card numbers. Those go straight to our payment processor and we don't see or store them.

03 / Why We Have It

What we use it for.

Processing, packing and shipping your order, and handling returns or warranty claims.

Sending order confirmations and shipping notifications. These aren't marketing and you can't opt out of them while an order is open.

Sending marketing email — only if you opted in, and you can leave any time.

Understanding which pages and products people actually use, so we build better ones.

Showing you our ads on other platforms, and not showing them to you if you've already bought.

Fraud prevention, chargeback disputes, tax records and other legal obligations.

04 / Who Else Sees It

The companies we use.

We share information with service providers who need it to do their job, and nobody else. Each one is bound by contract to protect it and use it only for us.

BigCommerce — hosts this store and processes orders.

Payment processors — handle card payments. They hold your card data, not us.

Shipping carriers (USPS, UPS, FedEx) — get your name and address so the box arrives.

Brevo — sends our email. Holds your email address and send history.

Google and Meta — analytics and advertising, via cookies and pixels on this site.

Legal requirement — if we're served a valid legal demand, or in the event the business is sold.

We don't sell your information

We have never sold, rented or traded customer lists, and we don't intend to. Under California law, our use of advertising cookies may count as "sharing" for targeted ads — see section 07 to turn that off.

05 / Cookies

What's running on this page.

Essential — your cart, your login, checkout. The site doesn't work without these.

Analytics — Google Analytics, so we can see which pages work.

Advertising — Meta Pixel and Google Ads, so our ads reach people who've visited.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and most browsers have a "do not track" option we honour where required. Blocking essential cookies will break checkout.

06 / Email

Getting on and off the list.

We only email marketing to people who asked for it. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe at the bottom, it works immediately, and we don't make you log in or explain yourself. If you unsubscribe you'll still get transactional email about any open order.

07 / Your Rights

What you can ask us to do.

Whoever you are and wherever you live, you can ask us to do any of the following and we'll do it within 30 days, free of charge:

Tell you what we hold — we'll send you a copy.

Correct it — if something's wrong, we'll fix it.

Delete it — we'll erase what we're not legally required to keep for tax and order records.

Stop targeted ads — opt out of advertising cookies and audience sharing.

Stop marketing email — unsubscribe link, or just tell us.

Email help@herbsaverusa.com with "Privacy request" in the subject. We won't treat you any differently for asking. California residents (CCPA/CPRA), Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia and other state residents with privacy statutes, and anyone in the UK or EU under GDPR, have these rights by law — we extend them to everybody rather than keeping two systems.

08 / How Long We Keep It

Retention.

Order records — seven years, for tax and accounting.

Email subscribers — until you unsubscribe, then we keep a suppression record so we don't email you again by accident.

Support emails — two years, so we can honour warranty claims.

Analytics data — up to 26 months, then it ages out automatically.

09 / Security

How it's protected.

This site runs on HTTPS, payments are PCI-compliant and handled off our systems, and account access is limited to the people who need it. No system is perfectly secure, but we don't hold card numbers, which removes the thing worth stealing.

10 / Age

21 and over.

This store is for adults 21 and older. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 21, and we don't market to minors. If you believe a minor has given us information, email us and we'll delete it.

11 / Where Your Data Lives

International transfers.

We're a US company and our systems are hosted in the United States. If you order from outside the US, your information is transferred to and processed in the US, which may have different privacy protections than your home country. Ordering means you accept that transfer.

12 / Changes

If this updates.

We'll change the date at the bottom of this page when we update it. If we ever make a material change to how we use your information, we'll email subscribers rather than quietly editing the page.
